1. What is web hosting?
If you want a website, you need a web hosting plan. A web hosting plan
gives you storage for your files and other features such as email. GTS
provides space on our servers to store html files and other website related files.
GTS servers are
connected to the internet and make your site available on the world wide
web.

2. What is a domain name?
A domain name, such as gtshost.com is simply a way to
identify your web site, email, etc. from everyone else's. Just as your
mailing address is unique in the world, so is every domain name. If domain
names were not unique it would be impossible to accurately deliver
anything to its proper location. Computers on the Internet use
combinations of numbers to talk to each other called IP Addresses. To make
it easier for humans to communicate via the web, domain names were
created!

3. Do I need a domain name?
A domain name is needed to purchase web hosting from GTS. Without
a domain name, people trying to locate your site would have to use an IP
address. By registering a domain, your website can easily be found and is
also indexed by search engines.

you want, try the following:

• Pick different extensions
Example: Try .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name.
